A Spirited Start to the 2025-26 School Year!
teachers for PD day 2025-26

MUSD kicked off the new school year with an energizing and motivational Professional Development (PD) Day yesterday,  and what a welcome it was! Senior Staff, including Superintendent Dr. Dan Streeter, Assistant Superintendents Kristin Reidy, Mark Goligoski, and Denise Linsalata, CFO Thomas Bogart, Executive Director Joshua Bayne, and Governing Board Vice President Kathryn Mikronis, were on hand to welcome back MUSD’s extraordinary educators with enthusiasm and appreciation.

From the moment staff arrived, they were greeted by cheering school mascots and treated to a rousing welcome-back performance from talented band students and dance teams at Mountain View and Marana High Schools.  Teachers engaged in a day filled with impactful learning, collaboration, and fun, including a welcome-back raffle!  A dozen lucky teachers won a special prize: a 2-hour classroom coverage certificate provided by one of our senior staff members. Yes, MUSD senior leaders are stepping in as substitute teachers! It was an exhilarating and inspiring day to launch the school year, and we’re beyond excited to carry this momentum into the first week with students!

Huge thanks to our staff, students, administrators, mascots, and everyone who helped make this PD day unforgettable, and a special shoutout to Mountain View High School and Marana High School for being outstanding hosts, as well as the 2340 foundation who provided lunch to all the amazing teachers and staff.

Let’s make it a great year, MUSD!
