CTE Teachers Dive Into Makerspace Magic During Hands-On Learning
This week, Coyote Trail teachers explored the endless possibilities of our Makerspace during a hands-on professional learning session led by our GEM teacher, Mrs. Johnson and instructional coach, Mrs. Valentine. With curiosity and creativity leading the way, teachers had the chance to interact with materials, ask questions, and discover how these tools can support student learning across grade levels and content areas.
The Makerspace Playground allowed teachers to experiment with our newest additions, including the Chompsaw cardboard cutter, Makedo tool kits, a sewing machine, 3Doodler pens, and HyperTiles. Through guided exploration, teachers saw firsthand how these tools can support collaboration, problem-solving, critical thinking, and design-thinking—all while engaging students in authentic, hands-on learning.
Whether it was constructing with cardboard, testing the 3D pens, or brainstorming lesson connections, teachers walked away inspired and excited to bring more innovation into their classrooms.
We can’t wait to see the creativity that comes to life as students dive into these tools—and we’re grateful to our team for creating this meaningful, hands-on experience for our educators!
